The Holy Spirit inspired Jude to quote Enoch for a reason. The Ancient Book of Enoch opens by addressing those in the Tribulation period. It contains numerous prophecies about the flood and fire judgments, and the two comings of the Messiah. It teaches that the Messiah is the Son of God and that He will shed His blood to redeem us and even predicts the generation that this would occur! The book of Enoch prophesies a window of time in which the Second Coming would occur and prophesies that there will be twenty-three Israeli Prime Ministers ruling in fifty-eight terms from AD 1948 to the beginning of the Tribulation period, and much more. Even though it prophecies that the Bible would be created and says we will be judged by our obedience to the Bible, it also makes it clear that this book is not to be added to the Canon of Scripture. The Ancient Book of Enoch recounts the history of the angels that fell in the days of Jared, Enoch's father. It testifies to their marriages with human women and their genetic experiments. This commentary includes a previously unknown chapter from the Dead Sea Scrolls that actually explains how they did their genetic tampering. The commentary is from a fundamentalist Christian view, brought to you by Biblefacts Ministries, biblefacts.org.
The Bible, as we hold it today, is esteemed by many religious institutions and especially Conservative Christians to be the inspired, inerrant Word of God. This doctrinal position affirms that the Bible is unlike all other books or collections of works in that it is free of error due to having been given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: that the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works (2 Tim. 3:16, 17).While no other text can claim this same unique authority, the Book of Enoch is an ancient Jewish religious work, ascribed by tradition to Enoch, the great-grandfather of Noah, which played a crucial role in forming the worldview of the authors of the New Testament, who were not only familiar with it but quoted it in the New Testament, Epistle of Jude, Jude 1:1415, and is attributed there to "Enoch the Seventh from Adam" (1 En 60:8). The text was also utilized by the community that originally collected and studied the Dead Sea Scrolls. While some churches today include Enoch as part of the biblical canon (for example the Ethiopian Orthodox Tewahedo Church and Eritrean Orthodox Tewahedo Church), other Christian denominations and scholars accept it only as having historical or theological non-canonical interest and frequently use or assigned it as supplemental materials within academic settings to help students and scholars discover or better understand cultural and historical context of the early Christian Church. The Book of Enoch provides commentators valuable insight into what many ancient Jews and early Christians believed when, God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets (Heb. 1:1). As Dr. Michael S. Heiser in the Introduction to his important book Reversing H
Clearly the most important book left out of the Bible. It seems to have predated everything in the New Testament, having been written almost entirely in the second century. Charles said, The influence of I Enoch on the New Testament has been greater than that of all the other apocryphal and pseudepigraphical books put together. All the notes of Charles are included here, along with a list of every known translation and how they contributed to our knowledge. This is by far the most thorough and scholarly edition which every serious researcher and student should have. It first appeared in 1912. Five years later, in 1917, the slimmer, edited version replaced this book, making it virtually impossible to finduntil now.
The book of Enoch was the first book ever written in any language. The language was described as the heavenly language; which today we know it as Hebrew. Hebrew was also the language of the first humans and all living things before the fall of man at the Garden of Eden. But because of the distribution of languages during the Tower of Babel; Hebrew was forgotten until the lifetime of Abraham. Abraham was taught the language by angels of God and he revive the Heavenly language upon the Earth. So, now days there will be other languages that will test more ancient then Hebrew through discoveries of things that have a written language upon it; that can be carbon tested for age; unless we can find the original books of Enoch; but until now only translations of the book have been found in other languages. In the Dead Sea scrolls the book of Enoch was found within the books revered as the books of the old testaments that were dated from 404 to 203 BCE. What they found was only a copy of the book and not the original. According to what language the manuscript is found; the rewriters gave the God of their religion the credit of being God creator; but the world knows that only the God of Israel had angels with the name of Michael, Gabriel and Ariel. All others have been copycats and have tried to include the names of what they call their own angels and gods and beliefs into the book of Enoch.
This work unravels the great mysteries of the Bible and ancient civilization. In introducing her disclosures Christine Preston reveals the meaning of Trees in Scripture as being in connection with Initiation in the Old World. The latter being the Atlantis of Plato, she reveals original "sin" as a misuse of power by Atlanteans influenced by "Wise Serpents," who opposed spiritual evolution. She discusses divine-human intermarriages and provides a solution for the fact that the Watchers parallel to the Sons of God of Genesis are depicted as evil, by disclosing a secondary scenario in Enoch that is illustrated by the Ancient Book of Jika.
3 Enoch is also known as The Hebrew Book of Enoch, as the evidence suggests it was originally written in Hebrew. 3 Enoch is also known as Sefer Hekhalot, meaning Book of Palaces. In 3 Enoch, Enoch ascends to heaven and is transformed into the angel Metatron. The Talmud does not state this, but the tradition is found in the earliest Kabbalists. Jewish mysticism traces to the Merkabah practices of the 1st c. CE. The goal of Merkabah Mysticism was to enter a trance-like state by means of fasting, meditation, prayer and incantation, and thus ascend to God's heavenly throne room and experience God's Throne-Chariot (Hebrew: "Merkabah"). This is a NEW translation by ancient languages scholar Dr A. Nyland.
Among the first seven scrolls discovered in the caves of Qumran at the Dead Sea is a scroll given the name, "The Book of Giants." It is thought to have been based on the Book of Enoch, a pseudepigraphical Jewish work from the 3rd century BCE. The Book of Giants, like the Book of Enoch, concerns itself with the Nephilim, which are the offspring of fallen angels, who are called the Watchers. Two main versions of the text exist. The Dead Sea version is written in Aramaic. Another version has been found written in middle Persian, adapted from the Aramaic to fit into the Manichean religion. Both versions will be examined. Following theories speculating that the Book of Giants was once part of the Book of Enoch, we will attempt to place the two texts back together to render the complete story of the Watchers and the Nephilim. We will discover the history and contributions of these ancient scrolls and look carefully at their content and meaning. Throughout the combined texts of the Book of Giants and the Book of Enoch we will examine all the biblical and apocryphal references and parallels within the text. The result is an in-depth and panoramic view of the Angels, the Watchers, and the Nephilim, and how one of the giants of the Nephilim race may have survived the flood intended to cleanse the Earth of their horror.
Every chapter of the book of Enoch, with commentaries, opinions, speculations and theories. The verses are reproduced together with extensive commentaries, references, and ideas for follow-up. ENOCH INSIGHTS gives great insight into the book of Enoch itself, which is an ancient book of around 5000 years old and apparently the very first book ever written. The book of Enoch was banned for 1000 years during the Dark Ages, on the threat of one being burned at the stake. Why was it banned? Enoch lived in a Prediluvian world where ‘Fallen Angels’ came down from heaven and were seduced by the most beautiful women who had ever lived. The fruit of this ‘forbidden union’ were the Giants and Titans, who became cannibals and devoured mankind. Perhaps that is why we find many prediluvian cities underground? Were the prediluvian peoples hiding from man-eating giants and other monsters, such as dragons, dinosaurs and also chimeras of many types? How did the chimeras come into existence? During his lifespan which reached 365 years old, Enoch had many visions and dreams of heaven. He also visited hell and other dimensions. He prophesied about the entire ‘7000-year-History’ of mankind from the beginning to the very end with stunning accuracy
