WRONG PLACE WRONG TIME WAS: #1 BESTSELLER in TRUE CRIME in America #1 BESTSELLER in FACTUAL in Spain #3 BESTSELLER in TRUE CRIME in France Across Amazon WorldWide this book has so far received 128 x 5 star and 40 x 4 star reviews. Some of the reviews: 5* I began to think of it being made into a film. Who would play David? Oh, that's easy - a brilliant actor such as Tom Hardy would be perfect! 5* WRONG PLACE WRONG TIME is the first book written by David Perlmutter & what a fantastic story he has to tell. 5* I disagree with David's perception of himself as a writer. Wrong Place Wrong Time is written beautifully. It is a heartfelt & amazing story of courage and stamina. 5* I am a fan of biography, autobiography, true crime & fact based literature. This book had elements of all these genres & it read like a thriller. David's style of writing makes you feel like he is just a friend telling a story but just when you are thinking you are going to get a nice coming-of-age story, beer & women get involved, and then the plot begins to twist! This is a edge of your seat, can't put it down PERFECT read. I am a reader & a thinker & this one kept me doing both. Do not for a moment think this is a 'man's book'. ANYONE who likes a great read will enjoy this one...the girls in the book club can't put it down, my 80 year old dad loved it & any 20-something on the verge of traveling should read this cautionary tale! Well done! 5* This is an incredible story, one of the few books that leave you cursing your surroundings for constantly distracting you. 5* I would not be surprised to see this book be turned into a movie some day. If it does, I'll be one of the first in line to watch it! 5* A Thrilling, Gripping True Story..I don't normally read true stories but this one grabbed my attention & kept me hooked the entire way through. We all make mistakes in our lives, but for Dave his mistakes will never be forgotten. His mistakes also led to acts of Heroism which most of us could never dream of achieving. This is an incredible, honest account of one man's journey which changed his life forever. 5* I won't ruin the suspense by telling you what happens next, but suffice it to say, it will bring to mind some scenes from Midnight Express. 4* Brilliant read, a real page turner, fast pace and very exciting, loads of great characters. Recommend this book. Great true story. well written. 4* I enjoyed this book, I felt that I was on that fateful journey with him, through the fear and panic he went through. Well worth the read. 5* What a gripping story! I know it was based on the truth, which makes it even better. A totally gripping story all the way until the last page. Please don't hesitate to enjoy the emotional journey in these pages. 4* This book has inspired me to tell my own story. Thank you David for the inspiration. 5* This book passed my "gotta peek ahead" test. At least twice I was forced to cheat and look ahead a few pages because I couldn't stand not knowing what was coming. 5* I have always liked memoirs from ordinary people, not celebrities, and this one certainly didn't disappoint! It had more drama than a Hollywood movie.

From Pulitzer Prize winner Raymond Bonner, the gripping story of a grievously mishandled murder case that put a twenty-three-year-old man on death row. In January 1982, an elderly white widow was found brutally murdered in the small town of Greenwood, South Carolina. Police immediately arrested Edward Lee Elmore, a semiliterate, mentally retarded black man with no previous felony record. His only connection to the victim was having cleaned her gutters and windows, but barely ninety days after the victim's body was found, he was tried, convicted, and sentenced to death. Elmore had been on death row for eleven years when a young attorney named Diana Holt first learned of his case. With the exemplary moral commitment and tenacious investigation that have distinguished his reporting career, Bonner follows Holt's battle to save Elmore's life and shows us how his case is a textbook example of what can go wrong in the American justice system. Moving, enraging, suspenseful, and enlightening, Anatomy of Injustice is a vital contribution to our nation's ongoing, increasingly important debate about inequality and the death penalty.

"How often do you begin reading a book that makes you—immediately, urgently, desperately—want to read more books?” (Booklist). Nick Hornby has managed to write just such a book in this hilarious, insightful, and infectious volume. Ten Years in the Tub chronicles Hornby's journey through a decade’s worth of books, as related in his wildly popular Believer column “Stuff I’ve Been Reading.” Ten Years in the Tub is a one-way ticket into the mind of one of the most beloved contemporary writers on his favorite pastime, but it's also a meditation on what Celine Dion can teach us about ourselves, a warning about how John Updike can ruin our sex lives, and a recommendation for the way Body Shop Vanilla Shower Gel can add excitement to our days. This "decade-long addiction for many... makes standing in line at the bank a blessed interval for snorting another page.” (the New York Times Book Review)

“A gripping tale of secrets and self-discovery.” —People The Foundling tells the incredible and inspiring true story of Paul Fronczak, a man who recently discovered via a DNA test that he was not who he thought he was—and set out to solve two fifty-year-old mysteries at once. Along the way he upturned the genealogy industry, unearthed his family’s deepest secrets, and broke open the second longest cold-case in US history, all in a desperate bid to find out who he really is. In 1964, a woman pretending to be a nurse kidnapped an infant boy named Paul Fronczak from a Chicago hospital. Two years later, police found a boy abandoned outside a variety store in New Jersey. The FBI tracked down Dora Fronczak, the kidnapped infant’s mother, and she identified the abandoned boy as her son. The family spent the next fifty years believing they were whole again—but Paul was always unsure about his true identity. Then, five years ago—spurred on by the birth of his first child, Emma Faith—Paul took a DNA test. The test revealed definitively that he was not Paul Fronczak. From that moment on, Paul has been on a tireless mission to find the man whose life he’s been living—and to discover who abandoned him, and why. This is the story of Paul’s heart-wrenching and tortuous journey to solve both mysteries and finally learn the truth about his identity. The Foundling is a touching and inspiring story about a child lost and faith found, about the permanence of families and the bloodlines that define you, and about the emotional toll of both losing your identity and rediscovering who you truly are.
