"Howard was the Thomas Wolfe of fantasy, and most of his Conan tales seem to almost fall over themselves in their need to get out."- Stephen King "A hero of mythic proportion, fashioned by a storyteller who helped define what a modern fantasy should be. "Rogues in the House" is one of the finest tales of sword and sorcery ever written."- Raymond E. Feist "Handsome."- Fantasy and Science Fiction Conan the Cimmerian: the boy-thief who became a mercenary, who fought and loved his way across fabled lands to become King of Aquilonia. Neither supernatural fiends nore demonic sorcery could oppose the barbarian warrior as he wielded his mighty sword and dispatched his enemies to a bloody doom on the battlefields of the legendary Hyborian age. Collected together in one volume are - besides the poem Cimmeria - A Poem (1932) and the essay The Hyborian Age - Conan's World (1936) - Robert E. Howard's tales of the legendary hero, as fresh and atmospheric today as when they were first published in the pulp magazines of more than seventy years ago: The Tower Of The Elephant (1933), Rogues In The House (1934), Shadows In The Moonlight (1934), Black Colossus (1933), Queen Of The Black Coast (1934), The Slithering Shadow (1933), A Witch Shall Be Born (1934), The Devil In Iron (1934), The People Of The Black Circle (1934), Shadows In Zamboula (1935), The Pool Of The Black One (1930), Beyond The Black River (1935), The Black Stranger (1932), Red Nails (1936), Jewels Of Gwalhur (1935), The Phoenix On The Sword (1932), The Scarlet Citadel (1933) and The Hour Of The Dragon (1935).

'Olaf's Saga' is an historical novel chronicling one Norse man's life in the late 8th century . The story is told by Jón Loftsson a direct descendent of the protagonist, some four hundred years later to his adopted son Snorri. The tale descibes Olaf's background and his upbringing in the harsh Viking world. Olaf has life changing events thrust upon him and as a result he has to make his way in 'Midgard' - the world of men. As a young Norse man, Olaf sees the first brutal death of a Saxon by one of his kind. He takes part in the early raids on Christian monasteries located at remote sites around Britain; experiencing the joy of success and the despair of failure. The entire text is punctuated with references to the Norse pantheon, with characters at times speaking in their all but forgotten language (translations are provided). There are also many references to Norse technology of the time such as their boats - the drakkar and knarr, their weapons, as well as number systems, time telling and various religious festivals. 'Olaf's Saga' not only paints a full and detailed picture of the Norse World, but also tells an intriguing and spell-binding story.

The omnibus edition of an epic crossover trilogy uniting characters from every corner of the Star Trek universe, and revealing the shocking origin and final fate of the Federation's most dangerous enemy--the Borg. DESTINY #1: GODS OF NIGHT THE BORG RETURN—WITH A VENGEANCE. Blitzkrieg attacks by the Borg leave entire worlds aflame. No one knows how they are slipping past Starfleet’s defenses, so Captain Picard and the crew of the Enterprise have to find out—and put a stop to it. Thousands of light-years away, Captain Riker and the crew of the Titan follow bizarre energy pulses to a mysterious, hidden world. But what they find there is a figure out of history: a Starfleet captain long thought dead. At the same time, in the Gamma Quadrant, a new captain and her crew investigate the wreck of the Earth starship Columbia NX-02, missing in action for more than two centuries. Four starships. Four captains. Four lives about to intersect—and discover their shared Destiny. DESTINY #2: MERE MORTALS IT’S A CLASH OF CIVILIZATIONS. The Borg have found a secret passage through subspace and are using it to attack the Federation. But the passage is one of many that the Enterprise crew finds inside a nebula, and Captain Picard and Captain Dax must find the right one—and lead a counterstrike to stop the impending Borg invasion. Meanwhile, Captain Riker and the Titan’s crew are held captive by the reclusive and powerful aliens known as the Caeliar. The Titan’s freedom hinges on the action of fellow prisoner Erika Hernandez, commander of the long-lost Earth starship Columbia. Hernandez has lived among the Caeliar for centuries—enduring disasters, accidental time-travel, and interstellar exile. After so long as their prisoner, will she dare to fight for her freedom? Or is an eternity in captivity her inescapable Destiny? DESTINY #3: LOST SOULS THE FINAL BATTLE HAS BEGUN. An armada of several thousand Borg cubes has wiped out a fleet of ships sent by the Federation and its allies. The Collective’s goal this time isn’t assimilation—it’s extermination. Captain Picard, Captain Riker, and Captain Ezri Dax unite in a final desperate bid to halt the Borg’s genocidal march through known space. But their three starships—the Enterprise, the Titan, and the Aventine—are no match for the Borg armada. Or are they? With them is Erika Hernandez, former captain of the Columbia. She has powers and insight gained from centuries of living with the aliens known as the Caeliar. She can end the Borg threat forever—or transform it into an unstoppable menace that will devour the galaxy. Destruction or salvation—only one can be her final Destiny.
