The aim of this book is to analyze the all important implications of Heisenberg's Uncertainty Principle for a finite universe with very large mass-energy content such as ours. The earlier and main contributors to the formulation of Quantum Mechanics are briefly reviewed regarding the formulation of Heisenberg's Principle. After discussing “indeterminacy” versus ”uncertainty”, the universal constants of physics are reviewed and Planck's units are given. Next, a novel set of units, Heisenberg–Lemaitre units, are defined in terms of the large finite mass of the universe. With the help of Heisenberg's principle, the time evolution of the finite zero-point energy for the universe is investigated quantitatively. Next, taking advantage of the rigorous solutions of Einstein's cosmological equation for a flat, open and mixed universe of finite mass, the most recent and accurate data on the “age” (to) and the expansion rate (Ho) of the universe and their implications are reconsidered. Key Features:No other lengthy discussion of the cosmological implications is availableThe first quantitative discussion of the zero-point energy of the universe is givenCompact rigorous solutions of Einstein's cosmological equation for Lambda Cold Dark Matter (LCDM), Open Friedman–Lemaitre (OFL), and mixed universes are discussed in detailKeywords:Big Bang;Cosmology;Heisenberg's PrincipleReview: “For a scholarly book covering quantum mechanics, this book is a highly accessible read. Gonzalo treats the reader to insightful and informative biographies of many giants of 20th century physics, focusing on their accomplishments and the larger metaphysical implications. As Gonzalo notes, quantum mechanics may imply 'an external chooser', making his book a compelling and refreshing critique of the materialistic philosophy which pervades science today.” Casey Luskin Discovery Institute

The aim of this book is to evaluate the all important effects of Heisenberg's Doubt Concept for a limited galaxy with substantial mass-energy content such as ours. The previously and main members to the ingredients of Huge Techniques are temporarily analyzed regarding the ingredients of Heisenberg's Concept. After talking about "indeterminacy" compared to "uncertainty," the worldwide always the same of science are analyzed and Planck's models are given. Next, a novel set of models, Heisenberg-Lemaitre models, are described in conditions of the big limited huge of the galaxy. With the help of Heisenberg's principle, the time progress of the limited zero-point power for the galaxy is examined quantitatively. Next, using the extensive alternatives of Einstein's cosmological formula for a set, start and combined galaxy of limited huge, the latest and precise information on the "age" (to) and the development rate (Ho) of the galaxy and their effects are reconsidered.

This is a collection of essays by students of the late Jung Young Lee, Professor of Systematic Theology at Drew University. The essays, based on seminar papers written for Dr. Lee in 1995 and 1996, show both the quality of the work he nurtured and the breadth and richness of the thought he inspired. Contents: A Cosmological Return in Theology; Understanding Tao From a Theological Perspective; Embracing Ambiguity; Taoist Principles of Leadership And Their Application To A Unitarian Universalist Congregation; The Concept of Time in Whithead and the I Ching; Changing Worldview from the West to the I Ching: Focused on the Concepts of Time and Space; Self in Taoism and Carl G. Jung; Asian Worldviews on Spirit and Nature: From Taoistic and Shamanistic Worldviews; Korean Ancestor Worship.

What happens when the Dalai Lama meets with leading physicists and a historian? This book is the carefully edited record of the fascinating discussions at a Mind and Life conference in which five leading physicists and a historian (David Finkelstein, George Greenstein, Piet Hut, Arthur Zajonc, Anton Zeilinger, and Tu Weiming) discussed with the Dalai Lama current thought in theoretical quantum physics, in the context of Buddhist philosophy. A contribution to the science-religion interface, and a useful explanation of our basic understanding of quantum reality, couched at a level that intelligent readers without a deep involvement in science can grasp. In the tradition of other popular books on resonances between modern quantum physics and Zen or Buddhist mystical traditions--notably The Dancing Wu Li Masters and The Tao of Physics, this book gives a clear and useful update of the genuine correspondences between these two rather disparate approaches to understanding the nature of reality.
