The incredible story of food television pioneer Friedemann Paul Erhardt—who brought cooking into forty million homes long before the Food Network existed. Culinary television programming has become a mainstay in the American home—from the reality competition of Top Chef to how-to style shows of The Food Network, and everything in between. But before big names like Gordon Ramsey and Bobby Flay ruled prime time, one young German American chef became America’s biggest food TV celebrity, boasting numbers that matched the legendary Julia Child’s. Friedemann Paul Erhardt, also known as Chef Tell, went from Philadelphia bad-boy restaurateur to nationally renowned superstar. Now, for the first time, Chef Tell offers a glimpse of his inspiring and turbulent life story. Here we not only meet the man who charmed and educated audiences across America, but also the quick-witted perfectionist who experienced professional highs and lows, won admirers and enemies, and challenged the industry as a whole. Filled with personal accounts from friends and colleagues, color photographs, and a seven-course dinner menu for home cooks to try, this is a must-read biography for fans of food, cooking, television, and believers in the American dream. With forewords by Regis Philbin and Chef Walter Staib.

In ThunderCloud (The Oddities of One Man's Journey to Manhood) an excommunicated teen's struggle to survive in a world of strangers, some good and some bad, mirrors our own challenges in many ways. ThunderCloud's adventures force him to confront his inner demons, real and imaginary, which have lead him to his lonely situation. What he discovers inside, changes his whole outlook on his past, present and future, as the oddities of people, cultures, generations, fantasies, and circumstances shape the way he relates to others; how to live and work within groups; and how to understand that every condition of his life is his personal responsibility. Whether or not his tribe accepts his return, accompanied by a motley gaggle of people and myriad stories to tell, is the final question! * * * About the Cover Artist: Zhou Shu Liang was born in China and raised in a family of artists. He studied at the Central Academy of Fine Arts in Beijing and Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts in Guangzhou. Liang furthered his art study in the United States in 1982. He earned his BFA in painting at Massachusetts College of Arts in 1986 and his MFA in Painting at Boston University in 1989. Liang received his great inspiration in this country while studying and painting the Wampanoag Indian culture at the outdoor Museum in Plymouth, Massachusetts. This newfound interest fired his imagination, and he began to focus his painting primarily on Native American Indian cultures and their traditional ways of life. Liang's obvious passion for the Indians as a people, coupled with his emphasis on historical accuracy, adds strength and truth to his portrayals. Among the many awards Liang has received are: The David P. Usher Patrons' Choice Award, Master of the American West, 2009; the President's Award for Excellence, Oil Painters of America, 2005; Best of Show Award and People's Choice Award, the American Society of Portrait Artists, 1998; the Arthur Ross Award for Painting, Classical America, New York, 1992; and the Lila Acheson Award for Painting, the Society of American Illustrators, 1986. Liang is represented by Trailside Galleries in Jackson, Wyoming and Scottsdale, Arizona.

Millennial Carlos Almarón struggles to live past the devastating and unexpected loss of his long-time lover, who dumps him just as he was to propose to her. When he is unable to come back to battery, his jet-set-lifestyle, Manhattan friends abandon him, except for three women, who aim to help his recovery, each for their own very different reasons. One is rebounding from the recent death of her husband after a long illness; another, a deja-vu devotee, senses the possibility of a predestined, romantic liaison; and Carmela Ariana, a childhood, tomboy friend of Almarón's, walks among the wounded-in-love after coming-of-age abuses have nearly shattered all of her hopes of ever finding real love and romance. Ariana alone knows why Almarón's lover rejected him, and what happened to her after, but she fears the truth will devastate her longtime friend and push him away forever. Almarón's journey brings him and these friends through a series of haphazard events, leading to the brink of their finding brand-new lovers, but only after he traverses a tightrope of daydreams and nightmares that take him as far back as the 11th century and through his attempts at sexual escapades with himself and would-be lovers in his pubescent and collegiate years. The process brings him to understand what he cherishes most about men and women, and especially his closest friend Ariana. If finding everlasting love means each of us having to face intimate truths about ourselves no matter how hard or strange, then Almarón's and Ariana's story can teach us how to trust each other in the name of peace and love.In truth, we all seek the kind of romance these two hapless people crave. And everyone faces the same omnipresent choice in the war of the sexes: to rise above the fray and win love against all odds, or fail in the attempt. The winding road that takes Almarón and Ariana by surprise time after time also makes "Ruined by Murder Addicted to Love" a surprisingly wonderful, emotional roller-coaster, five-star read.

LISTEN MORE SELL MORE, the sales training book written by Ronald Joseph Kule, undercuts other sales training books by delivering FUNdamental basics and how-to-sell data that have universal appeal for beginners and seasoned sales professionals who are looking to better their sales skills and career results. The author-identified key words related to selling and sales, though largely ignored by other training approaches, are dissected and defined here, leading to not only increased understanding of the subject of sales, but also heightened ability to apply what is learned. The exclusive series of sales training drills, meticulously developed by the author -- himself a salesman and sales trainer with 48 years of international success behind him, improves specific, vital sales skills required for success in the profession. Shared anecdotes from the author's personal sales career make his point: learning how to sell includes knowing how to APPLY what are proven, correct, basic data, which incidentally adds to the fun of the training experience. There is also an added FREE BONUS with the book: a complete sales training course is included, which simplifies the subject of sales by laying out a step-by-step route to learning the author's method that consists of word definitions, essays, demonstrations and the exclusive, practical sales training drills. Each trainee follows the course in sequence and at his own pace, attesting to each individual accomplishment as he completes them. The process enables trainees to finish the course rapidly, yet with certainty. Trainees who do the steps honestly find out that they do close more sales and earn more commissions, as well as increased recognition among their peers, as a result. " 'LISTEN MORE SELL MORE' should be required reading for all salespeople. Its emphasis on APPLICATION and ACTION makes this a must-read for anyone seriously interested in knowing how to sell effectively in any situation or sales scenario, from in-person to telephone sales. This book takes the fear out of selling!" -- Sherry Goodman, art sales consultant. International sales consultants also agree this is the book they want their clients to read, as well as the course they should do: "If you really want to know what makes certain salespeople very successful and others not, then you better read and do the practical drills in Ronald Joseph Kule's new sales book." (Marten Runow, Chairman, Performia International) Arte Maren, internationally acclaimed and sought-after corporate sales consultant, and author of "The Natural Laws of Management: The Admin Scale" wrote, "There are 'sales gems' throughout the book which, as a whole, is a 'must have' for every salesperson's sales kit." In the author's words, "The point of this book is to simplify the subject of sales and then DRILL, DRILL, DRILL it to perfection! But, that doesn't mean we can't have FUN doing it." The author knows of what he speaks, having sold products and services in-home, door-to-door, business to business and business to consumer. He has sold in-person by cold-calling and on appointment; in front of groups and online. He has conducted seminars in several countries and performed multi-media webinars to prospective clients across North America. LISTEN MORE SELL MORE is the first of a series of three books coming from Ronald Joseph Kule... arguably the only series to include three separate levels of complete sales training courses within its pages! -- Editor
